South Beach

South Beach is quite untypical and some way "mysterious" place on Samui. Sometimes South Beach is mistakenly associated with the southern part of Chaweng, but in fact, South Beach is a serene area located in Laem Sor gulf. This is the place you definitely should visit if you are looking for the shelter from the big city vibes.

You can reach the airport in 40-50 minutes by taxi.

3. Beach length.

South Beach is a small part of Bang Khao beach, which is 4 km long.

4. Beach and water condition.

South Beach is one of the most picturesque places on Samui. The water is crystal clear, however, the good swimming should be carefully selected since most of the beach is covered with small sea shells shards. However, this place is still one of the best for the snorkeling on Samui.

5. District infrastructure.

Infrastructure is not as developed as in other typical tourist areas since South Beach can't be stated as a very popular area. You can still find shops and cafes, however, there is a serious lack of amenities for the active holiday. However, it looks like it's just a matter of time when South Beach will become another tourist destination on Samui. 



6. Transportation.

Public transport is a sore subject for South Beach, so it's better to rent your own wheels if you plan to stay in this area.

South Beach is the home to many temples and places of historical heritage worth visiting.
