Tuk-tuk (Song Teow)

Only public transport in Pattaya. Tuk-tuk is actually motoriksha – tricycle with open passenger carriage behind. Tuk-tuk in Pattaya is pickup (Toyota Hilux for example) with covered carriage and seats installed for the passengers. Correct name for this transport is sing teow which means two benches.
There are few details how to stop and enjoy trip on song teow:

• Get to tuk-tuk route.
• When tuk-tuk will beam wave your hand or express any other motions to stop him.
• Get inside carefully.
• Look around not to miss the place you are heading for.
• When you see that place, ring the special bell on the cab ceiling.
• Get out from tuk-tuk, and pay for the trip (10-20 depending from distance).

Tuk-tuk can also provide taxi service. For this purpose you need to:

• Find empty tuk-tuk.
• Stop it.
• Arrange the destination and the price with the driver.
• Get inside and relax.
• Pay on arrival
