Huay Yai / Phoenix

Huay Yai is the suburban Pattaya area, located to the East of Sukhumvit road. There are plenty of cottage villages and dozens of nice villas. Although you won't find many tourists in this area. The infrastructure is not as developed as in the East Pattaya, for example, however it's still a good option for the long-term residency. However tourist accommodation seekers probably won't find this area attractive for their own needs: there are basically no tourist attractions in the vicinity, the distance to the downtown is far, there is no public transportation in this area. But as we mentioned earlier it's a good area to find a suburban property for the reasonable price, both for sale and rent. 

1. Distance to the airport.

Distance to the Suvarnabhumi airport is about 120 km, distance to the Utapao airport is about 20 km, Most of the local hotels provide transfer to the Utapao airport free of charge.

2. Distance to the sea.

This district doesn't border with the beach line. The distance to the beach can vary between 3 and 11 km. It is necessary to have your own transport if you are going to stay in this area.                                  

3. District infrastructure.

Since this area just started to build up, there's not much to talk about the local facilities and amenities. You still can find plenty of shops and stores, however entertaining facilities are very limited in this district.

6. Transportation.

Basically, there is no public transport in this are, so getting your own wheels is mandatory.

7.  Views.

Despite the far distance to the beach, Huay Yai still features nice greenery environment you won't be able to find in the city. Still, there are no condos in this area, so all the views from your house will be limited by your own garden and pool.

8. Popular sightseeing.

Huay Yai doesn't really feature too many sightseeings. If you get on wheels we recommend to visit Wat Yan and Mondop temples, Khao Chee Chan hill with 109 m high Buddha image engraved by the golden plates. Another popular location is the Silverlake vineyards. 

9. Nightlife.

Definitely, this area has nothing to offer to the active nightlife seekers. There are several bar/restaurants in the area visited mostly by the local expats.
