Price drop in Thailand

The price drop from 8 to 25% is expected for the personal hygiene products (toothpaste, soap, shampoo), food (rice, milk, fish) and building materials (cement, wiring). Private entrepreneurs will announce reducing the cost of other goods next week.

The Thai government will closely monitor the depreciation that it has been beneficial to both consumers and businesses, said the head of the Internal Trade Department Vibunlak Ruamraks.
